.FILE=SMSLOGO.QFX QuickLink II Fax S/R Documentation Update <<< Supplemental files >>> If your diskette is a 5¬" 1.2mb diskette, there are additional files which you may want to download from American E-mail BBS (714-362-5822). The following files are not critical for QuickLink II Fax to run. FONTINTL.BIN International character set font for use on fax cover pages and headers. 38CL8F86.SFT PCL font for Landscape Courier Bold typeface. 380L8F86.SFT PCL font for Landscape Courier Roman-8 symbol set. 4G1LG545.SFT PCL font for Portrait Helvetica Italic 10 Point. <<< SNDFAX Command Line Notes >>> From the DOS command line, you have the capability to send faxes in the background. The command line is as follows: SNDFAX /F: /FN: /GP: Additional command line options not listed in the manual: /AT: or /ATTN: - Specify the ATTN: field on the cover page /DT: or /DATE: - Date at which the fax is to be sent MM-DD-YY /FN: or /FAX#: - Fax phone number where fax is to be sent Note: Replace all commas in the phone number with the '.' character /TO: - Specify the TO: field on the cover page The documents that you send using the DOS command line must be in a QFX or REC file format. If no schedule time is specified on the command line, the fax will be sent immediately. <<< QuickLink II Fax DOS Variable >>> QuickLink II Fax no longer needs a DOS environment variable to be run from a different subdirectory. Be sure to include the QL II Fax sub- directory in your PATH variable so DOS can find the QL2FAX program. Example: SET PATH=C:\QL2FAX If you already have a PATH variable, you can either add ";C:\QL2FAX" to the already existing PATH statement, or add a new line after the first SET PATH statement which contains "SET PATH=C:\QL2FAX;%PATH%". <<< About This File >>> The first line in this file will cause the converted file SMSLOGO.QFX (a graphic image) to be merged with the contents of this text. When you convert (check the Center text box on the Fax Setup window for best results) this document (QLREADME.TXT) and fax it out or view it with the View Fax Document option, you can see the results. This is the same method you would use if you wanted to include a company header or a signature graphic on your faxed text documents.ÿÿ <<< Additional FastFax Command Line Options >>> FASTFAX [options] /E - When converting a PCL document, do not use EMS or XMS memory page swapping. The conversion process will use the default drive (where FastFax was run from) as a disk swapping area. /M# - Specify the amount of RAM to reserve for FastFax when it is activated. This switch may be useful if you have problems accessing a large fax phone list. The # represents the number of 1024 (1K) bytes to reserve for FastFax. The default is 360K. When you first load FastFax into memory, the amount of RAM you specify must be available. This does not mean that when you activate FastFax that this memory has to be available, only during the FastFax load. /N - Turn off FastFax activation/deactivation sounds. /REC - Load the Fax Receiving TSR.
