Dear Mr. Fermaniuk:

My wife and I are looking for a home PC, for use both as a home office machine, and as
a learning/entertainment computer for our young children.  I am contacting you on the 
recommendation of Mr. Delmer Crawford, a personal friend of ours.  Del spoke well of 
your skills and experience, both in configuring PC systems to meet the specific needs
of users, and in providing ongoing support for your clients and customers.  He also
spoke highly of your integrity, as a fair and honorable man in your business dealings.

On the basis of Del's recommendation, I am writing to ask you to quote on a system 
configured basically as follows, including all applicable taxes and shipping.  Our 
budget is about $2500 - $3000.  If what's below is not achievable within this amount, 
please suggest compromises.  I've starred items that are optional, or where we are 
prepared to start small and grow later.

	Pentium processor, 75 MHz or faster
*	Triton chipset (preferred but not critical)
	256 KB cache
	at least 2 PCI slots + at least 2 ISA slots
*	8 MB RAM (minimum; 12 MB preferred)
	1 parallel port, 2 serial ports, 16550 UART compatible
	15" SVGA monitor, low-radiation, capable of 1024x768x256 colours NI
	1.44 MB 3.5" FDD
*	1 GB (or larger) HDD
	4x IDE CD-ROM
*	2 MB VRAM on video accelerator card (prefer ATI Graphics Xpression PCI with Mach 64
	    chipset)
	Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 with speakers
	14.4 kbps fax/modem
*	MS-DOS 6.22 / Windows 3.11; Windows '95 if possible

We have not specified a printer, since that would only increase the budget pressure.  Please 
feel free to recommend a colour-capable inkjet printer that offers high value for the money, 
for our later consideration.
