As a Professional Research Associate and Adjunct Professor in the 
University of Saskatchewan, I would be actively involved in the 
supervision of the graduate student working with me on the proposed 
research.  Having been principally responsible for the development 
of the Polar Camera and the collection of data to date, I would 
serve as the primary resource for the student with regard to the 
image data base.  I would also participate in the broader training 
of the student in the conduct of scientific research, as I am eligible 
to teach graduate courses in the University, and would be involved 
on a weekly basis in the direction of the student's research project.

I would be available to the student both for regularly scheduled 
consultations, and on a need basis, and would expect to spend a 
minimum of 0.5 - 1 day per week directly involved with the student.  
This time would be in addition to the time devoted to graduate teaching.
