Homesteaded in 1871, subsequently a stage coach stop, Peaceful Valley is nestled in a mountain valley in Roosevelt National Forest. Our hallmark is Sawtooth Mountain, about 11 miles, the eastern most point on the Continental Divide. We offer an activity-filled Western ranch vacation, comfortable accommodations, and many amenities to boot!
Horseback riding is the primary focus of a guest ranch program
and ours is no exception. You'll start the week getting acquainted
with our horses and how they are accustomed to being handled.
A variety of lessons are available during the week. There is ample
opportunity for scenic riding; breakfast ride, all day rides,
luncheon rides, short walk only rides as well as some extended
morning or afternoon rides. The novice as well as the more advanced
rider will enjoy riding through the glorious Rocky Mountains.

If horses aren't exactly what you had in mind for your vacation
you're in luck. Climb aboard a comfortable suburban and tour a
crumbling gold mining town, Rocky Mountain National Park, shopping
in Estes Park, gambling in Central City, or bouncing along a scenic river bed.
We also offer hiking llama treks, tennis, fishing, western and square dancing, talent show, melodrama, swimming, mountain biking, and relaxing. |
We have an extensive supervised children's program beginning with age three. They will enjoy planned activities on their level as well as many combined family events. This allows parent and those without children to partake in some more advanced programs.

Have you worked up your appetite yet? Delicious home-style cooking
compliment the guest ranch experience.After a busy day a dip
in the solar heated indoor pool and whirlpool will get you ready
to retire in a variety of comfortable clean accommodations. Some
prefer close-in lodge rooms, while others choose individual cabins
with private hot-tubs and fireplaces.
