Research Systems' Visible Human CD is the world's first complete digital reference of photographic images for exploring male human anatomy. With the click of a mouse, the Visible Human CD gives you ready access to more than 10,000 axial, coronal, and sagittal slices of a human male. For efficient storage and retrieval, the image slices are compressed to fit on a single CD-ROM! In addition to providing complete and convenient data delivery, Research Systems' Visible Human CD includes an IDL-based Navigator application that lets you easily locate and display any part of the body using graphical or numerical references. You can also set bookmarks on notable images to recall them quickly. Animation tools let you create a "movie loop" through a range of images to provide even more insight. Text or graphical annotation can be overlaid on any image or set of images for effective presentation. Export Visible Human slices using TIFF, PICT, GIF, PostScript, EPS, or BMP formats to IDL or other image processing packages for manipulation or desktop publishing. The Visible Human data was provided by the National Library of Medicine's Visible Human Project (TM).
