A new look for our Open Science Platform
February 17, 2024
We are pleased to announce that our Open Science Platform website at data.phys.ucalgary.ca has received a major upgrade. This revamp represents a new approach to how we deliver our data to the public, and we'll continue to refine and expand this website in this direction.
What's new
The redesigned platform now includes:
- Dataset descriptions - Detailed documentation for each of our datasets, including instrument information, DOIs and acknowledgement details, sensor network maps, site locations, and more.
- Crib sheets - Step-by-step guides for working with our data in Python. IDL versions will be coming soon, along with Python and IDL software libraries.
- Streamlined navigation - A reorganized layout making it easier to find what you need.
Our goal with this revamp is to make data.phys.ucalgary.ca the single destination for everything you need to know about our data and how to use it. Whether you're a researcher looking for specific datasets, a student learning to work with UCalgary SRS data, or a developer building tools on top of our archive, this platform is designed to serve you.
We will continue to expand and improve the platform over time. If you have feedback or suggestions, we'd love to hear from you.
