Release of the AuroraX Event Explorer
October 1, 2024
We are thrilled to announce the release of the AuroraX Event Explorer, a brand new interactive web-based viewer for exploring conjunctions between ground-based sensors and satellites. The Event Explorer is an interactive tool that allows researchers to browse and analyze conjunction events where ground-based optical instruments and in-situ satellite measurements overlap in space and time. It provides a 3D interactive map interface for visualizing these events, making it easier than ever to explore multi-instrument datasets.
We consider the AuroraX Event Explorer as a natural progression from the Swarm-Aurora Conjunction Finder interface. Building on the success of that tool, the Event Explorer takes the concept further with a modern, fully interactive 3D map that gives users a richer and more intuitive way to explore conjunction data.
