Additions to Swarm-Aurora
January 11, 2026
We are happy to announce that Swarm-Aurora has received an update to include the new SMILE all-sky imager network, and an all-sky imager operated by UNIS at the Kjell Henriksen Observatory (KHO) in Svalbard.
As new SMILE ASIs come online during 2026, they will be added and a Bulletin will be posted (about 50% of the array still to deploy).
For the UNIS KHO imager, you can find more information about it here and here. We would like to thank those involved in making this addition possible: Dag Lorentzen (instrument PI), Mikko Syrjäsuo, and Noora Partamies.
To view information about what data is available in Swarm-Aurora for these systems, you can have a look at the website's Data Availability page.
